always a boy, forever pink.

Born and raised in the east of east Vancouver, I grew up in a world of frenzy. From this to that, from here to there, I never knew what the future held for me or what I wanted to hold for the future. To be or not to be is the ultimate question. I was a girl who wanted to be a boy — straight up. My mother tried to put me in pretty floral dresses with mismatching shoes but I said no to showing scrawny legs and opted for the black Nike tracksuit with black Adidas kicks. Even when I’m a boy, I try to keep some pink; I keep my hair long, I paint my nails, I hate bugs.
I’m bored.
